CROSLEY "PUP"   RADIO FOR SALE
THIS RADIO HAS BEEN REBUILT BY THE BEST RADIO TECH IN PENNSYLVANIA.   IT WORKS VERY WELL WITH HEADPHONES.   THIS IS NOT A RADIO THAT CAN USE A SPEAKER.  THE HEADPHONE IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS SALE.
THIS EARLY RADIO MARVEL NOW GETS QUITE A FEW STATIONS WITH GOOD HEADSET VOLUME.   HOWEVER,   YOU WILL NEED TO "BALANCE" THE TUNING WITH THE REGENERATION KNOB TO GET THE BEST RECEPTION.   IT TAKES A LITTLE PRACTICE.
OUR GENIUS DID HIS BEST WORK ON THIS "PUP".  THE WD-12 TUBE WAS REPLACED WITH A GOOD STRONG 01A.   THIS MEANS THAT BATTERY SETTING FOR THE 01A IS NOW FOR A 5 VOLT FILAMENT AND YOU WILL NEED A 4 & 1/2 TO 6 VOLT SUPPLY FOR THAT TUBE.   YOU WILL NO LONGER USE THE 2 VOLT SUPPLY THAT WAS MEANT FOR THE WD12.
ALL THE KNOBS TURN EASILY.  A GRID LEAK RESISTOR WAS ADDED TO THE JUNCTION AREA.   ( That is the white tube-like unit on the backside ).
THE ORIGINAL 4 HOOK UP WIRES STILL HAVE THEIR ORIGINAL METAL IDENTIFICATION TAGS.
WE WILL INCLUDE THE SCHEMATIC SHOWN IN THE GALLERY PHOTOS.  HOWEVER,   I WOULD ASK THIS OF YOU.
IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH HOOKING UP EARLY BATTERY RADIOS,   PLEASE GET SOME HELP.   YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO AVOID DAMAGING THIS RADIO WITH AN IMPROPER HOOK-UP.
