. My Father Henry was a Radio and Television repairman and technician for over 75 years. Way back in the
mid-1960's
he started repairing and restoring Vintage Radios and T.V's to sell at
numerous
Antique shows, flea markets,
and
Antique Shops. Over those many
years
, he restored 1,000's Radios and
TV
. He continued his
radio-TV
work until his death in 2009.
My Dad passed on a lot of wisdom to me. In 2005 I started to sell Radio and TV tubes, knobs, parts here on
eBay
and at the Illinois Antique Radio Club
meeting
"Radiofest" in Aug each year. It is always my policy to offer quality vintage radio and TV items at a fair price here on eBay.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q:
What makes these Vintage Knobs that you list so shiny? Is there a gloss coating on them like a clear coat or polyurethane?
A: NO! There is no clear coat or polyurethane on the knobs I offer here (unless noted). I use a special polish that rejuvenates the wood, plastic, Bakelite and I polish them to the best shine I can get from them - The shine does not last, I suggest you polish the knob when you receive it with a microfiber cloth and a standard furniture polish or use boiled linseed oil on the cloth and buff to the desired shine.
Q:
How old is this knob?
A: I often generalize the date of the knob manufacturer period or used period of that knob (1930's-40's). I do not consider myself an expert on knobs or Radio Equipment, so the dates of most of these knobs I list here are guesses. I often have those folks that ARE and have a better knowledge in this area correct me on my listing and I appreciate them for doing that. in most cases I can make an accurate guess based on styling and composition of the knob to a relatively close date and particular knobs are dated based upon their styling for a particular manufacturer and production line of a model of that radio or tv.
Q:
So why FREE Shipping? If I buy a couple of knobs or a bunch of items from you is it still free?
A: I am like you, I am much more likely to buy something if the shipping is FREE, Come on who does not like free shipping? Bottom line: FREE SHIPPING no matter the quantity you buy from me - no kidding. I do combine shipping where I can.
Q:
Why is Shipping to Canada not free?
A: Shipping to Canada is not as easy to process as general shipping to the USA and simply is expensive. I keep my shipping lower than the actual cost. so you do save a little there at least.
Q:
Why do you list many of your knobs individually and not in sets?
A: I have found over the many years of selling RADIO & TV Knobs that most of my customers only need 1 knob and not a set. I get that, in many cases, I have only one of a particular knob and will hold it back from listing until a mate can be found for it or enough to complete a 3-4 piece set. If I do have a nice set I will often list them together. Basically, I would rather list them separately so if you only need one you do not need to pay the set price and be forced to have a second knob just sitting around when someone else may have the need for just one knob too.
Q:
What happens if I buy a knob and it does not fit or work right on my particular Radio, TV or equipment? or what if I am not happy with the item?
A: I gladly offer a "no hassle" 30-day return policy. Often I can work something out with you if you contact me first. If you choose to return an item- Just pay to ship for the return and after receiving the item back, I will refund the money that you originally paid.
